The article template is being provided to assist MCC member organizations in communicating the importance of colorectal cancer screening.

Members are encouraged to make the necessary edits and utilize the template in organizational publications, such as newsletters or journals. The template can be modified in any way to fit space requirements and audience needs of a given publication.

Suggestions for Using the Template

• Determine the target audience of your publication (e.g., nurses, family physicians).

• Find an expert from your target audience who can help you tailor the template to address the issues and needs of your audience. This will make the article more credible to your readers.

• Be sure to add the name and credentials of the author(s).

• Use various sections of the template based upon their relevance to your audience, the space available in your publication, and the purpose of your article.

• Prompts are included in the template pointing out where to insert recent statistics and tailored information for your audience.
